GRASAG-KNUST CONGRATULATES MEMBERS AND THE GHANAIAN YOUTH

Good day GRASAG members

On behalf of the executive council of GRASAG-KNUST, I write to salute you all for contributing to deepening the democratic credentials of our beloved nation.

Last Wednesday, we all stood up to be counted in choosing the next batch of leaders to steer the affairs of our nation for the next four years.

I am particularly proud of the level of involvement exhibited by us all, right from observers, polling officials and many more. With the few polling stations I visited, I saw some of our members playing pivotal roles in making the election a success. This is outstanding and I commend all of you for contributing knowledge to the country we all love.

The immediate post-election occurrences were also another hurdle we were able to cross, owing from the tension that came as we waited for the final declaration by the chairperson of the Electoral Commission. The EC did its bid and we want to thank them for making it possible for us all to see the same Ghana after the election.

You have done well by maintaining the peace of our country, but we can do more by contributing our ideas to support the next leader of our great nation.

Let me use this opportunity to congratulate the president elect, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo and his team for putting up a very good strategy to win the elections and hope that they will bring on board better plans and policies to help the people of Ghana.

The promise of hope that was preached by the winning candidate can only be a reality if we all decide to contribute our knowledge and diverse experiences in whatever way we can to make it a reality. If we all go back to folding our arms in bed, then our country will even be worse off, however, if we decide to embrace the belief in Ghana philosophy, and contribute our quota, our nation will achieve greater heights. There will be challenges, but I believe we will do great as a nation.

And to the outgoing president and his team, we want to thank you for service to our nation and hope that, time and history will judge you well.

I cannot end without condemning the alleged vandalism and the illegality purported against seeming members of NDC members. This should be condemned in its entirety and the police should be swift in dealing with these unwarranted happenings. The leadership of the NPP has distanced itself from it, giving credence to the fact that, these perpetuators are only pursuing these for their own selfish agenda.

Let me end by saying that, the future of this country largely depends on our individual inputs today and we must all do everything we can to have a better future.

God favour GRASAG-KNUST!

God bless Ghana!!

God give unto the blackman Wisdom!!!

Your chief servant,

KUSI BOAKYE

(GRASAG-KNUST PRESIDENT)
