BIOGRAPHY

Nembot Fogang Brice Armel

Brice Armel Nembot Fogang is a doctoral candidate in clinical microbiology at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a fellow of the German West African Center for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention (G-WAC). He earned his bachelor's degree in applied zoology from the Department of Biological Science at the University of Bamenda. Furthering his academic pursuits, Nembot pursued a master’s degree in applied Parasitology and Vector Biology within the same department. His undergraduate research focused on an inventory of apicultural plants in the Northwest Region, Cameroon. During his master's studies, Nembot delved into investigating the prevalence, intensity, and risk factors of gastrointestinal helminths and associated haematological changes in the West Region of Cameroon. Presently, he is engaged in doctoral research exploring the immunological interaction between helminths and SARS-CoV-2 co-infection and outcomes. Nembot has actively participated in various national and international conferences, including the World Health Summit 2022, 2023, and the 2024 conference of the DAAD Global Centres where he showcased his research output through presentations. His academic journey and research endeavours reflect a passionate commitment to enhancing global health through continuous learning, research, and innovation.
