Gabriel Alexander Kpevu

Gabriel Alexander Kpevu is a dedicated academic, geospatial expert, and leader with extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), Drone Mapping, Surveying, and Database Management. With over eight years of professional expertise, he specializes in spatial data analysis and its applications in both academic and industrial settings.

 

Currently pursuing a PhD in Geography and Rural Development at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Gabriel also holds an MPhil in GIS and a BA in Geography and Rural Development, both from KNUST. His academic background has equipped him with advanced analytical and technical skills, making him a leading expert in geospatial technologies.

 

Beyond academia, Gabriel is the Founder and CEO of GEO-ANDER CONSULT, a firm specializing in GIS and surveying solutions. His leadership extends to OpenStreetMap Ghana, where he serves as the Events and Training Coordinator, playing a pivotal role in digital mapping and community engagement. Previously, he worked as a Surveyor/GIS Analyst at LOSAMILLS CONSULT LTD. and served at the Forestry Commission’s Resource Management Support Centre.

 

Gabriel is also an influential student leader, currently serving as the President of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG-KNUST). His leadership responsibilities extend to KNUST’s University Council, Academic Board, Institute of Distance Learning Board, Directorate of Students Affairs Board, and Residence Committee.

 

A skilled communicator, Gabriel possesses strong writing, verbal, and presentation abilities, alongside exceptional ICT proficiency. He is fluent in English and Ewe, with working knowledge of Twi and French.

 

His passion for research, leadership, and technological innovation continues to drive his contributions to academia, industry, and student governance.
